Birth to Three
Most experts agree that signs of autism can be seen in children as early as 14 months and reliably diagnosed by 18 months.
Hancock County has an Autism Diagnostic Team. This team is made up of persons who have been trained on how to screen for autism and developmental disorders with the best screening and diagnostic tools. They provide a standardized diagnostic evaluation for children. Participating in this process allows families to get a diagnosis quicker and without traveling out of Hancock County. For more information contact Tanya Pike, the team leader at 419-422-8173 extension 1114. Remember most of time parental concerns are real.
